Recs ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information when you use our browser extension and web application.
2. Information We Collect at Sign-In
When you sign in, we request access to:
- Your Email Address: Used as your unique account identifier.
- Your Name and Profile Picture: Profile picture is collected when using Google sign-in. Used to personalize your user profile within the app.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information collected solely to:
- Authenticate your identity.
- Sync your saved recommendations across devices.
- Send you notifications related to your activity.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to others. We do not use your personal data for advertising purposes or to "mine" information for third-party marketing.
5. Data Storage
Your data is securely stored on our private servers (hosted via Coolify). You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app or by visiting recs-app.com/delete-account. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your personal data, decks, and recs. Anonymous deletion feedback may be retained for product improvement.
6. Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy
Recs' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
